Outpatient counseling services are provided at our Anoka, Eden Prairie, Hudson and Maplewood clinics. Individual psychotherapy, couples counseling, family therapy, and child/adolescent therapy are provided at all locations. All agency staff participate in peer consultation on a regular basis, and a board certified psychiatrist is available for clinical consultation to staff as well. Family Innovations' clinicians are able to provide a broad range of expertise to meet the diverse and changing needs of our clients.
Home-based counseling is provided to families in their homes across the metropolitan area. Services are provided primarily in the afternoon and evenings when families are more available, to avoid a child missing school. Skills training to develop functional alternatives to problem behaviors are the primary focus of home-based counseling, with examples including anger management training, social skills, assertiveness skills, and organizational skills training. Both the child and their family participate in skills counseling. See the Home Based Counseling description in the Services section for eligibility.
