Michaela completed her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Buena Vista University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa.
Michaela specializes in Trauma Informed Care which has assisted her in prior experience working with individuals with a wide range of concerns. Michaela’s previous experience includes assisting individuals with chronic mental illness with integrating into the community independently, as well as provide inpatient psychiatric care to both adolescence and adults. While working inpatient, Mickey was trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Most recently, Michaela has been working as a School-Based Mental Health Therapist.
